This privacy policy explains what personal information Sharon Pranic Healing collects, why, how it is kept safe, who it is shared with and the rights you have over it. It covers this website, enquiries, bookings, healing sessions (in person and distant), group meditations, retreats, the online shop and our newsletter.

The information we collect
When you get in touch
If you contact us through the website form, by email, phone, text or WhatsApp, we collect your name, contact details and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
When you book a session, class or retreat
Bookings made through our online booking system collect your name, email address, phone number, the service, date and time you chose, and any notes you add. Retreat and group meditation bookings may also be made by phone, email or through Eventbrite, which has its own privacy policy.
During your sessions
To give you a safe and suitable session, Sharon may ask about your general wellbeing, what you would like support with, relevant health conditions and any medical treatment you are receiving. She keeps brief notes of each session. Health information is a “special category” of personal data under UK data protection law, so we treat it with extra care (see “Health information” below).
When you pay
Payments are handled by our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal and WooPayments). They collect your card or account details directly. We never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount and your name and email address.
When you buy from our shop or buy a gift card
We collect your name, email address, billing and delivery address, phone number, what you ordered and, for gift cards, the recipient’s name and email address so we can send the card.
When you join our newsletter
We collect your email address (and name if you give it). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Reviews and testimonials
If you leave a review or testimonial, we may show your first name or initials and your words on our website, but only with your permission. We may invite you to leave a review on Trustpilot after a session, which means sharing your name and email address with Trustpilot for that purpose. You can ask us not to do this.
When you use this website
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website (see “Cookies and analytics”). Our website security tools also record technical information such as IP addresses to protect the site from attacks. This is kept for a short time only.
Why we use your information and our legal basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a legal reason (a “lawful basis”) for each use of your information. These are ours:
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiries | Legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us) |
| Take and manage bookings, send confirmations and reminders, and provide your sessions | Contract (to provide the service you booked) |
| Keep session notes and health information | Explicit consent, plus contract |
| Take payments and keep accounts | Contract and legal obligation (tax and accounting records) |
| Send our newsletter | Consent |
| Google Analytics | Consent (given through the cookie banner) |
| Keep the website secure | Legitimate interests (protecting the site and its visitors) |
| Show testimonials | Consent |
Health information
Pranic Healing is a complementary practice and does not replace medical care. Any health information you share is used only to make your sessions safe and suitable for you. We ask for your explicit consent before recording it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. If you do, we may not be able to continue offering sessions safely.
Your health information is never used for marketing and is never shared with anyone else unless you ask us to (for example, with your GP), or we are required to by law, or we believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
Children
Children’s sessions are booked by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on the child’s behalf and receives any information about the session. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 through this website.
Who we share your information with
We never sell your information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need. They act on our instructions and must keep your information secure:
- Hostinger: hosts this website, including our booking system and shop records
- Stripe, PayPal and WooPayments: process payments
- Brevo: sends our booking confirmations and website emails
- Mailchimp: sends our newsletter
- Google: Google Analytics (with your consent), reCAPTCHA spam protection on our forms, and Google Fonts
- Trustpilot: displays reviews and, if you agree, invites you to leave one
- Eventbrite: if you book a group meditation through Eventbrite
- WhatsApp: if you choose to message us there
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant, where needed
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers (including Google, Mailchimp, PayPal and Stripe) may process information in the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. When this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US Data Bridge.
How long we keep your information
We keep information only for as long as we need it:
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not lead to a booking | 12 months |
| Client records and session notes | 6 years after your last session |
| Booking, payment and order records | 6 years (required for tax purposes) |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months |
| Website security logs | Up to 90 days |
After these periods, information is securely deleted.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies. Essential cookies make the site, booking system and shop work. Optional cookies, such as those set by Google Analytics, are only used if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses, and we have turned off Google’s optional data sharing.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Manage consent” option on the website. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
Keeping your information safe
We use secure (HTTPS) connections, up-to-date software, security monitoring and strong passwords to protect your information. Payment details are handled by our payment providers and never stored on our website. Paper notes, if any, are kept locked away. Access to your information is limited to Sharon.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use your information
- object to us using your information
- ask us to send your information to another organisation
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email hello@sharonpranichealing.com or call 07980 740122. There is no charge, and we will reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first. Some rights have limits; for example, we must keep financial records for tax purposes.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
