As a Pranic Healing therapist, the two issues I see walk through my door more than any other are stress and anxiety. They show up in so many different forms, and in my experience, they’re very often tangled up with trauma from somewhere in a person’s past, sometimes from years ago, sometimes from something far more recent, this is not always the case and is one view point, from my experience. By the time someone books a Pranic Healing session with me, that anxiety has usually been building quietly for a long time.
Anxiety Doesn’t Look the Same in Everyone
One of the things I’ve learned from working with clients is that anxiety wears many different faces.
In children, it might show up as constant worry, endless questions, or a need to stay physically close to a parent at all times. A child who’s anxious often has a deep, persistent need to feel safe, and that need can come from something they’ve directly experienced, or simply from overhearing adult conversations they weren’t meant to be part of. Children pick up on far more than we realise, and that sense of unease can settle into their energy system long before they have the words to explain what they’re feeling.
In adults, I often see anxiety connected to big life transitions, returning to work after having a baby, going back into the workforce after time away, or stepping back into situations that once felt natural but now feel overwhelming. There’s a particular kind of anxiety that comes from feeling out of practice in your own life, unsure of your footing, worried about being judged or falling short. And because none of this is easily measured, it can be dismissed or minimised, even though it’s very real.
What I’ve come to understand is that anxiety doesn’t need a single big event to take hold. It can build slowly, layer by layer, over months or years, until it becomes a constant undercurrent running beneath everything a person does.
Why Stress and Anxiety Take Such a Toll
Stress and anxiety don’t just live in the mind; they settle into the body and into a person’s energy field. When someone is carrying unresolved stress, trauma, or grief, it can leave them feeling drained, on edge, or triggered by small conversations, that lead to worrying and overthinking and this can leave you feeling disconnected from a sense of calm or purpose. Over time, this can affect sleep, relationships, confidence, and the ability to simply feel at ease in everyday life.
This is where Pranic Healing comes in.
How Pranic Healing Supports Stress and Anxiety
Pranic Healing is a no-touch energy healing system, developed by Master Choa Kok Sui, that works with the body’s energy field, known as the aura and it’s energy centres, or chakras. Rather than focusing only on the symptoms of stress and anxiety, Pranic Healing works to clear and release the build-up of negative or stagnant energy that so often sits underneath those feelings, while energising the body with fresh, clean prana, also known as life force energy or chi energy.
In my own sessions, working with clients experiencing stress and anxiety, I focus on:
- Releasing built-up stress and negative energy – Anxiety and stress accumulate in the aura over time, much like a heavy cloud. Cleansing this energy helps lift that weight.
- Calming and stabilising the energy centres connected to fear and worry – Certain chakras are closely linked to our sense of safety, confidence, and emotional balance. Bringing these back into harmony can ease the constant state of alertness that anxiety creates.
- Addressing the root, not just the symptom – Because so much anxiety is connected to past experiences or trauma, Pranic Healing aims to support the underlying imbalance rather than simply masking how someone feels in the moment.
- Restoring a sense of calm and purpose – As the energy body comes back into balance, many clients describe feeling steadier, less reactive, and more able to respond to life’s challenges rather than feeling triggered by them.
What Clients Often Notice
People who come to me for stress and anxiety treatment often describe a real shift, not just in how they feel during a session, but in their day-to-day life afterwards. Situations that once felt overwhelming start to feel manageable. The constant hum of worry begins to quieten. There’s more space to feel calm, present, and connected to a sense of purpose, rather than being ruled by anxious thoughts.
Healing isn’t usually instant, and everyone’s journey looks a little different but with consistent treatment, many people who I treat for Stress and Anxiety, find that they’re able to meet life’s stresses from a much steadier place within themselves.
