Pranic Healing is a form of alternative medicine that utilises prana, or “life force energy”, to promote healing in the body. Pranic Therapists believe that the body has the ability to heal itself and that the flow of prana through the body can be used to enhance this natural healing process.
The main technique used in Pranic Healing is the transfer of energy from the pranic therapist to the patient, through a process known as “energy sweeping.” This is done by the pranic therapist using their hands to scan the patient’s aura (an energy field surrounding the body) and the energy body to identify areas that may be congested or depleted, and then using specific hand movements to cleanse and energise these areas. The pranic therapist may also use visualisation techniques, such as imagining light flowing into the affected area, to help direct the energy where it is needed.
Pranic Healing is based on the belief that most physical and emotional illnesses are caused by the depletion or congestion of the body’s energy and that by clearing these blockages and increasing the flow of energy through the body, the patient can achieve a greater state of balance and well-being.
